As of August 10, Kazakhstan harvested 1.624 mln tonnes of grains throughout the areas of 797 thsd ha (35.2% of the plan). The average yield reached 2.04 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of the reporting date, seven regions of the country already started the harvesting campaign. In particular, agrarians of Jambyl oblast harvested grains throughout 224.3 thsd ha (87.1%), South Kazakhstan oblast - 203.3 thsd ha (93.7%), Almaty oblast - 222.6 thsd ha (49.5%), West Kazakhstan oblast - 75 thsd ha (30.4%), East Kazakhstan oblast - 59.5 thsd ha (9.8%), Kyzylorda oblast - 5.6 thsd ha (5.8%), and Aktobe oblast - 6.7 thsd ha (1.7%).
