According to figures of the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), in 2017/18 MY the planted areas of soybeans in Russia broke a record at 2.6 mln ha, an increase of 16.9% compared with the previous season.
In addition, APK-Inform analysts estimated that in the season-2017/18 Russia will form a record level of the oilseed total supply, which will reach 5.7 mln tonnes, up 6.1% compared with 2016/17 MY.
Also, Russia will break another record in soybean processing volumes, which will increase to 4.6 mln tonnes, against 4.3 mln tonnes in 2016/17 MY.
