As of August 21, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the general areas of 20 mln ha (in 2016 - 26.2 mln ha), or 41.8% of the forecast. The production volumes of grains totaled 77.5 mln tonnes, with the average yield at 3.87 t/ha (in 2016 - 80.7 mln tonnes, and 3.08 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 14.2 mln ha (50.8%), and produced 59.5 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield of 4.2 t/ha.

Russia harvested 12.8 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 3.9 mln ha (49%). The average yield totaled 3.26 t/ha.

Agricultural producers of Krasnodar Krai started harvesting corn for grain, and already produced 3.6 thsd tonnes. The harvested areas reached 0.6 thsd ha, with the yield at 6 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested rapeseed throughout 152.8 thsd ha (15%), and produced 333.7 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The average yield totaled 2.18 t/ha.

Krasnodar Krai started harvesting soybeans, and already produced 28 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The harvested areas reached 13.6 thsd ha, with the yield at 2.06 t/ha.

Agrarians of the Chechen Republic and the Crimea started harvesting sunflower seed, and produced 5.4 thsd tonnes of the oilseed. The harvested areas reached 6.6 thsd ha, with the yield at 0.81 t/ha.

Russian agrarians started pulling flaxseed. The areas reached 8.4 thsd ha (18.4%).
