As of September 8, Ukraine planted winter grain crops for the harvest-2018 throughout the areas of 147 thsd ha (2% of the plan), reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

In particular, the planted areas under winter wheat totaled 135 thsd ha (2%), winter barley - 5 thsd ha, and rye - 8 thsd ha (5%). In addition, agrarians already planted winter rapeseed throughout 685 thsd ha (88%).

Also, Ukraine continued harvesting late grain crops. Agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 74 thsd ha (40%), and produced 82 thsd tonnes of the grain. The average yield totaled 1.11 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 50 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 35 thsd ha (61%), with the yield at 1.44 t/ha.

Agricultural producers started harvesting corn for grain, and already produced 85 thsd tonnes. The harvested areas reached 22 thsd ha (0.1%), with the yield at 3.83 t/ha.

In addition, Ukraine harvested 684 thsd tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 413 thsd ha (7%), with the average yield at 1.66 t/ha. The production volumes of soybeans reached 131 thsd tonnes, the yield - 1.69 t/ha, and the harvested areas - 78 thsd ha (4%).
