As of September 14, Ukraine planted winter grain crops for the harvest-2018 throughout the areas of 814 thsd ha (11% of the plan), reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In particular, the planted areas under winter wheat totaled 766 thsd ha (12%), winter barley - 16 thsd ha (2%), and rye - 33 thsd ha (20%). Agrarians already planted winter rapeseed throughout 747 thsd ha (96%).
Also, Ukraine continued harvesting late grain crops. Agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 102 thsd ha (56%), and produced 116 thsd tonnes of the grain. The average yield totaled 1.14 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 60 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 42 thsd ha (73%), with the yield at 1.44 t/ha.
Agricultural producers started harvesting corn for grain, and already produced 336 thsd tonnes. The harvested areas reached 78 thsd ha (2%), with the yield at 4.31 t/ha.
In addition, Ukraine harvested 1.868 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 1.058 mln ha (18%), with the average yield at 1.77 t/ha. The production volumes of soybeans reached 362 thsd tonnes, the yield - 1.71 t/ha, and the harvested areas - 212 thsd ha (11%).
