The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine kept the previous forecast of the general grain production in 2017 at the level of 61-63 mln tonnes, despite adverse weather conditions, declared the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Maksym Martynyuk on September 19.
According to him, it is too early to give more accurate estimations because agrarians harvested corn throughout 3% only of the planned areas.
At the same time, M.Martyniuk noted that despite the fact that the harvest volumes will somewhat reduce compared with the record figures in 2016 (65.95 mln tonnes), in 2017/18 MY the exports will remain almost at the last season level.
According to the First Deputy Ministry, the domestic market of Ukraine is completely supplied with all types of grains, and therefore the prices of for groats and flour products in Ukraine will be stable.
