As of September 21, Ukraine planted winter grain crops for the harvest-2018 throughout the areas of 2.003 mln ha (28% of the plan), reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In particular, the planted areas under winter wheat totaled 1.892 mln ha (31%), winter barley - 44 thsd ha (5%), and rye - 67 thsd ha (42%). Agrarians already planted winter rapeseed throughout 779 thsd ha (100%).
Also, Ukraine continued harvesting late grain crops. Agrarians harvested buckwheat throughout 120 thsd ha (66%), and produced 137 thsd tonnes of the grain. The average yield totaled 1.14 t/ha.
As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 67 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 46 thsd ha (81%), with the yield at 1.46 t/ha.
Agricultural producers started harvesting corn for grain, and already produced 1.069 mln tonnes. The harvested areas reached 239 thsd ha (5%), with the yield at 4.47 t/ha.
In addition, Ukraine harvested 4.393 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 2.378 mln ha (40%), with the average yield at 1.85 t/ha. The production volumes of soybeans reached 862 thsd tonnes, the yield - 1.74 t/ha, and the harvested areas - 496 thsd ha (25%).
