As of September 24, Russian agrarians harvested grains and pulses throughout the general areas of 36.5 mln ha (in 2017 — 38.5 mln ha), or 81.4% of the plan. The production volumes reached 95.6 mln tonnes (118.7 mln tonnes), with the average yield of 2.62 t/ha (3.08 t/ha), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 22.1 mln ha, or 83.2% of the plan. The average yield totaled 2.98 t/ha, and the production volumes reached 65.7 mln tonnes. Also, Russia harvested 16.4 mln tonnes of winter and spring barley throughout 7.2 mln ha, or 90.1% of the plan. The average yield totaled 2.28 t/ha.

As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested corn for grain throughout 727.1 thsd ha, or 30.1% of the planted areas. The production volumes totaled 2.6 mln tonnes, while the yield — 3.52 t/ha.

Russia started harvesting rice, and already produced 263.8 thsd tonnes of the grain. The harvested areas reached 42 thsd ha (23.2%), with the yield at 6.28 t/ha.

Agrarians continued harvesting sunflower seed, and already produced 3.1 mln tonnes of the oilseed. The harvested areas reached 1.6 mln ha (20.6%), with the yield at 1.87 t/ha.

In addition, rapeseed harvested areas reached 923.4 thsd ha, or 59.4% of the plan. The production totaled 1.4 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.5 t/ha.

Agrarians harvested 1.7 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 911.2 thsd ha (32.9% of the plan). The average yield totaled 1.83 t/ha.

Also, Russia harvested 14.7 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout 424.4 thsd ha, or 38.3% of the plan. The average yield reached 34.56 t/ha.

At the same time, Russia already planted winter crops for the harvest-2019 throughout the areas of 11.5 mln ha, or 67% of the forecast (in 2017 — 10.3 mln ha).
