Ukraine harvested 2 mln tonnes of soybeans — Ministry of Agrarian Policy

As of October 2, agrarians of Ukraine harvested 2 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout the areas of 816 thsd ha (48% of the plan), with the average yield of 2.49 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Also, Ukraine continued harvesting industrial crops. In particular, agrarians harvested 9.4 mln tonnes of sunflower seed, with the yield of 2.16 t/ha; and 2.7 mln tonnes of rapeseed, with the yield of 2.61 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 3.2 mln tonnes of sugar beet throughout the areas of 67 thsd ha (24%). The average yield totaled 48 t/ha.

Generally, as of the reporting date the general production volumes of grains and pulses in farms of the country reached 41.6 mln tonnes, the harvested areas totaled 11.2 mln ha (76%), and the average yield — 3.71 t/ha. In particular, the harvest of early grains and pulses totaled 34.3 mln tonnes. Also, agrarians of Ukraine harvested 6.8 mln tonnes of corn for grain throughout the planned areas of 25%, with the average yield of 5.92 t/ha; 108 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 80%, with the yield of 1.25 t/ha; and 66 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 82%, with the yield of 1.54 t/ha.

At the same time, Ukraine continued planting winter grains for the harvest-2019. So, agrarians already planted winter grains throughout 4.3 mln ha (59%), and winter rapeseed — 967 thsd ha (109%).
