Ukraine: harvest of early grains totaled 32 mln tonnes – N.Prysyazhnyuk
The harvesting campaign of early grains in Ukraine is completed, the production volumes reached 32 mln tonnes, declared Nikolai Prysyazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on September 3.
He also noted the relatively high yield of early grains in the current year, which exceeded the previous year result by nearly 0.5t/ha.
He also said that to date Ukrainian agrarians already started harvesting maize and other late grains.
Besides, according to N.Prysyazhnyuk Ukraine provides planting of winter crops, in particular agrarians already planted winter rapeseed throughout nearly 45% of the planned areas. The weather conditions promote holding of the required rates of autumn field works, explained the Minister.
