Ukraine: Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasted the growth of soybean areas
According to forecasts of Nikolai Prysiazhniuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, during the spring planting campaign in 2014 Ukrainian agrarians will plant spring crops throughout the areas of 8.7 mln ha, informed the press-office of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on December 26.
In particular, Ukraine will increase the planted areas under soybeans. Also, agrarians will increase the areas under maize – to nearly 5.2 mln ha. According to the Minister, to date the foreign market of maize is very attractive, because Ukraine already opened the Chinese market.
