Ukraine: 93% of winter crops were in good and satisfactory condition - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
As of February 14, in Ukraine there were 93% of winter crops areas in good and satisfactory condition, or 7.3 mln ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
At the same time, 7% of winter crops areas showed wicked and thinned conditions of wintering,or 0.5 mln ha of the general areas.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy also noted that some fields in Poltava oblasts showed the losses of 15-23% of winter wheat areas due to low temperatures and lack of snow covering in January and early February. The planted areas of winter rye remained safe at 100% level in the reporting conditions.
