In 2014 Ukraine to receive less 1.5 mln tonnes of grains, due to break down of planting in the Crimea — V.Klimenko
Due to potential break down of the planting works in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, connected with the political situation inside the territory of autonomy, Ukraine can receive less 1.5 mln tonnes of grains of the harvest-2014, announced Vladimir Klimenko, President of Ukrainian Grain Association, on March 14.
He added that in addition to destruction of the planting campaign, tourist season in the region was practically destroyed too. He also is worried about the question where the region will take money resources and who will subsidize it.
According to the expert, shipment complexes in Sevastopol are stopping to work. Nevertheless, V.Klimenko mentioned that the factor will not be the reason of breaking down of grain exports from Ukraine in 2013/14 MY, as the necessary volume of grains can be supllied from Odessa, Nikolaev oblasts.
The expert made a conclusion that Ukraine has contracts, and the export program will be completed.
