Russia harvested 10 mln tonnes of grains
According to operative data as of July 7, Russia harvested grain crops throughout the areas of 2.7 mln ha, or 5.9% of the planned areas (in 2013 – 4.8 mln ha), and produced 9.9 mln tonnes of grains in bunker weight (in 2013 – 14.7 mln tonnes). The average yield totaled 3.63 t/ha (in 2013 – 3.09 t/ha), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested winter and spring wheat throughout 1.6 mln ha, or 6.4% of the planned areas (in 2013 – 3.8 mln ha). The produced volumes totaled 6.1 mln tonnes (in 2013 – 12.3 mln tonnes), with the yield of 3.78 t/ha (in 2013 – 3.22 t/ha).
Agrarians harvested winter and spring barley throughout 531.1 thsd ha, or 5.7% of the areas (in 2013 – 559 thsd ha), and produced 2 mln tonnes of the grain (in 2013 – 1.9 mln tonnes), with the yield of 3.7 t/ha (in 2013 – 3.35 t/ha).
Also, Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais, the Republics of Adygea and Crimea started harvesting winter rapeseed. As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested the oilseed throughout 120.3 thsd ha, or 9.7% of the planned areas (in 2013 – 143.7 thsd ha). The produced oilseed volumes reached 204.1 thsd tonnes (in 2013 – 246.5 thsd tonnes), with the average yield of 1.7 t/ha (in 2013 - 1.72 t/ha).
