As of August 5, Ukraine harvested over 31 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
According to operative data as of August 5, Ukraine harvested 31.215 mln tonnes of early grains and pulses throughout the areas of 8.824 mln ha, or 90% of the planned areas without the Crimea. The average yield totaled 3.54 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
As a reminder, on August 5, 2013, agrarians harvested 29.394 mln tonnes of grains throughout 9.457 mln ha, with the average yield of 3.11 t/ha.
In particular, Ukrainian agrarians harvested winter wheat throughout 5.538 mln ha. The produced volumes totaled 21.553 mln tonnes with the yield of 3.89 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested winter barley throughout 2.862 mln ha. The produced volumes reached 8.632 mln tonnes with the yield of 3.02 t/ha.
Ukraine harvested rye throughout 151 thsd ha, the produced volumes reached 375 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 2.49 t/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 299 thsd tonnes of oats throughout 124 thsd ha, with the average yield of 2.42 t/ha.
Agrarians produced 354 thsd tonnes of peas, with the yield of 2.39 t/ha. The harvested areas reached 148 thsd ha.
Ukrainian agrarians continued harvesting winter rapeseed. The harvested areas reached 845 thsd ha, the volumes – 2.052 mln tonnes, the average yield – 2.43 t/ha.
