As of September 2, Ukraine harvested over 35.7 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
According to operative data as of September 2, Ukraine harvested 35.717 mln tonnes of grains and pulses throughout the areas of 9.858 mln ha, or 66% of the planned areas (excluding the Crimea). The average yield totaled 3.62 t/ha, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
According to the Ministry, on the same date in 2013 Ukraine harvested 32.158 mln tonnes of grains throughout 10.211 mln ha, with the average yield of 3.15 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested 73 thsd tonnes of maize for grain throughout 22 thsd ha, with the average yield of 3.27 t/ha.
Ukrainian agrarians harvested 112 thsd tonnes of buckwheat throughout 76 thsd ha (56%), with the average yield of 1.46 t/ha.
Ukraine harvested 131 thsd tonnes of millet throughout 71 thsd ha (69%). The average yield totaled 1.85 t/ha.
Also, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 1.244 mln tonnes of sunflower seed throughout 920 thsd ha (18%), with the average yield of 1.35 t/ha.
Ukraine harvested 146 thsd tonnes of soybeans throughout the area of 80 thsd ha (3%). The average yield of the oilseed totaled 1.83 t/ha.
Winter rapessed was planted throughout 514 thsd ha (60% of the plan).
