IMF expects that Ukraine to receive additional 15 bln USD in 2014-2016
The International Monetary Fund forecasts that Ukraine will be able to unlock additional international and bilaterla assistance of about 15 bln USD during 2014-2016 period, due to implementation of the program of cooperation with the IMF, which in turn proposes standby arrangement to Ukraine in the range of 14-18 bln USD, declared Gerry Rice, Director of communication department of the IMF, on April 24.
At the same time, G.Rice replied in the negative at the question that it turns out that the previously announced sum by the IMF on 27 bln USD package of financial aid to Ukraine to get during next two years, is revised upwards.
“I said about $15 billion, so we're talking about different ranges. The IMF loan is still in a range to be decided by the Board on Wednesday (April 30). So not to give you the wrong message here. Our numbers are not changing", G.Rice said.
