IFC to provide a loan of $ 250 mln to Ukrainian poultry producer
The International Finance Corporation (part of the World Bank) has decided to credit $ 250 one of the largest Ukrainian poultry producers "Myronivsky Hliboproduct" (MHP, Kiev). Funds will be used to the company's expansion and refinance of eurobonds, the IFC representative reports.
Credit, approved on May 29 by the IFC Board of Directors to be repaid in 2015.
Rufat Alimardanov, the head of the IFC in Ukraine and Belarus, said that in the financing package from IFC their own resources and mobilized funds included. As of today it is the largest project in the Ukrainian agribusiness.
He also noted that the total IFC investments in the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine to total more than $ 1 bln.
MHP - a vertically integrated company producing eggs, poultry, fodder, also engaged in meatprocessing.
MHP produces and sells poultry under the trademark "Nasha riaba", meat products "Legko", premium quality steak beef under the "Certified Angus" trademark and gourmet delicacy "Foie Gras". MHP owns the Crimea Fruit Company.
