European Council extended the sanctions against the Crimea

On June 19, the Council of the European Union extended the restrictive measures in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol until June 23, 2016, informed the statement at the website of the EU Council.

According to the announcement, the sanctions include prohibitions on the import of goods from the Crimea to the European Union; and the exports of certain goods and technologies to Crimean companies or for use in Crimea in the transport, telecommunications and energy sectors and related to the prospection, exploration and production of oil, gas and mineral resources.

The Official Journal of the European Union published the Council Decision concerning the sanctions against the Crimea on June 20, 2015.
