The ban on the supply of several species of food products from Western countries to Russia will run until August 6, 2016, informed the President’s Executive Order “On Extending Certain Special Economic Measures in the Interest of Ensuring the Security of the Russian Federation”, signed by the Head of State on June 24.
The resolution introduces amendments to Government Resolution No. 778 dated August 7, 2014 “On Measures to Implement the Russian President’s Executive Order No. 560 dated 6 August 2014, On the Introduction of Certain Special Economic Measures in the Interest of Ensuring the Security of the Russian Federation”. The resolution provides for a one-year extension of the ban on the import of certain types of agricultural products, raw materials and foodstuffs originating from the United States of America, the EU member countries, Canada, Australia and the Kingdom of Norway.
Also, the document instructs the Government to ensure the measures, required for realization of the Order, and make proposals for changes of certain specific economic measures at the Order, when applicable.
