On January 29, 2016, the Cabinet of Ministers of Russia held the meeting on possible adjustment of the export duties on wheat, as well as imposition of other limiting measures against the exports of Russian grains. At the same time, the officials failed to accept any certain decision, and postponed the issue-solving until February 3.

As a reminder, the meeting was expected to specify the current situation with appropriateness of the export duties on wheat, as well as possible imposition of export limitations against Russian barley and corn. Also, the Deputy Prime Minister, Arkady Dvorkovich told that the Government plans to keep the effect of the export duties on wheat.

But to date, the Government will take its final decision on the export duties on February 3 only. According to the President of Russian Grain Union, Arkady Zlochevsky, who took part in examination of the issue, the officials discussed various options - from raising of the customs duties limitation so that it takes effect at the price of 15`000 RUR/t (the current level totals 13`000 RUR/t), to complete cancellation of the export limitations.

But the Ministry of Agriculture called for keeping of the export regime unchanged, said the President of Russian Grain Union. Also, participants of the meeting opposed to any possible imposition of corn and barley export duties.
