Land reform, food safety and quality, development of organic production were specified as the main directions of the agro-industrial complex within frames of the project "On approval of the medium-term plan of top-priority measures of the Government until 2020, and the plan of top-priority measures of the Government for 2017", which was adopted on April 3, declared the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Taras Kutovyi.

In addition to land reform, the Ministry plans to focus on the safety and quality of foodstuffs, which will guarantee the further growth of the export potential of Ukraine. Also, the authorities are actively working on development of the organic market, T.Kutovyi said.

According to the Minister, the land reform should provide legislative supporting of the land market on a model defined by national debating and simplifying of the procedure for land registration.

Also, the Ministry plans to improve the mechanisms for stimulating of the further development of agribusiness at the expense of food security provision, predictability and stability of product markets by enlarging of competitiveness rates of small- and medium-scale agricultural producers.

T.Kutovyi noted that development of the organic market should take place within the appropriate government control in the sphere of organic production, labeling of organic products, etc., which will simplify coming of Ukrainian organic products on foreign markets, and provide an opportunity to develop the export potential.
