In the current MY Ukraine already exported 12.5 mln tonnes of grains – N.Prysiazhnyuk

In the current MY, grain traders and agricultural enterprises of Ukraine already exported 12.5 mln tonnes of grains under the planned contracts of 20.5 mln tonnes, stated Nikolai Prysiazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

According to him, in February 2012 Ukraine exported 1.2 mln tonnes of grains, in January - 2 mln tonnes.

As a reminder, the U.S. Department of Agriculture lowered the forecast of wheat exports from Ukraine in 2011/12 MY to the level of 6 mln tonnes. The previous analysis allowed the export volume of 7 mln tonnes.
