Russia: intervention fund to sell the main volumes of grains in February-March 2013 - Ministry of Agriculture
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is planning to launch selling of the major volumes of grains from the public intervention fund in February 2013, declared Ilya Shestakov, Deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture, on November 21.
He noted that the decision was made, due to the fact that the most difficult situation on the domestic grain market is generally formed in February and March, and during the period the Ministry plans to sell the basic volumes of intervention grains.
He also said that according to forecasts of the Ministry. by the end of 2012 the selling volumes of grains from the public intervention fund may reach 1-1.1 mln tonnes.
