Ukraine: by the end of 2012, the exports of agricultural commodities my total 17 bln USD – N.Prysyazhnyuk
By the end of 2012, the general exports of Ukrainian agricultural commodities may reach 17 bln USD, up 31% compared with the previous year year (13 bln USD), declared Nikolai Prysyazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on December 19.
He also said that the expected positive foreign trade balance of agricultural commodities trading reaches the level of 10 bln USD.
N.Prysyazhnyuk also noted that grains, sunflower oil, and oilseeds occupy the largest share in the exports of Ukrainian agricultural commodities.
According to him, the countries of Asia (nearly 33% of the general exports), the EU (25%), the CIS (22%) are the largest consumers of agricultural products from Ukraine.
In the reporting year Ukraine expanded the geography of its exports of agricultural products, starting deliveries to Japan, Taiwan, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa.
