In November Ukraine reduced the production volumes of mixed fodder
According to data of the official statistics, in November 2012 Ukraine faced the seasonal reduction of production of mixed fodder for farm animals, which is traditional for the reporting month. Thus, in November Ukraine produced 409.3 thsd tonnes of the product, a decrease of 7% compared with the previous month. The most significant decline of mixed fodder production in November was marked at the enterprise Katerinopolsky elevator Ltd. (down 24%, or 13 thsd tonnes), which is the largest company in the reporting segment of grain processing (11% of the general production of mixed fodder in Ukraine in the current season).
During the first five months of 2012/13 MY (July-June), Ukraine produced 2.1 mln tonnes of mixed fodder, up 7% compared with the same period of 2011/12 MY, and up 14% compared with the same period in 2010/11 MY.
We should note that one of the main factors of the upward trend of mixed fodder production in Ukraine in the current season is the gradual change-over of domestic enterprises and households to usage of industrial production forages.
