In January 2013, Ukraine to export 1.45-1.5 mln tonnes of grains – Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation
According to forecasts of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, in January 2013 the general grain exports from Ukraine will total 1.45-1.5 mln tonnes, which is almost two times lower compared with the record high indices in November-December of 2012, declared the press-service of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation on January 21.
In particular, maize formed the major share of the export volume, the report said.
Experts of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation believe that the specified index is rational, because it corresponds to 1/6 of the share covering the second half of 2012/2013 MY exports (9 mln tonnes).
According to forecasts of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, in the current marketing year Ukraine will export 23.2 mln tonnes of grains.
