Ukraine exported 15.5 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agrarian Policy

In the current marketing year, and as of January 21, 2013, the volume of grain exports from Ukraine already reached 15.5 mln tonnes, informed the press-service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of 2013 Ukraine exported 1.28 mln tonnes of grains, while in December 2012 the exports of grain totaled 2.463 mln tonnes.

In particular, as of January 21 Ukraine exported 5.96 mln tonnes of wheat, including 5.08 mln tonnes of milling wheat, against 2.65 mln tonnes (1.958 mln tonnes of milling wheat) as of the same date in the previous marketing year.

Barley exports from Ukraine totaled 1.95 mln tonnes (1.93 mln tonnes in 2011/2012 MY), maize - 7.32 mln tonnes (5.9 mln tonnes).
