Since the beginning of 2012/13 MY Kazakhstan exported 3.8 mln tonnes of grains
Since the beginning of 2012/13 MY, and as of January 1, Kazakhstan already exported 3.8 mln tonnes of grains, declared Muslim Umiryaev, Vice-Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, on January 22.
According to the statistics data, on January 1, 2013, the carry-over stocks of grains in the country totaled 13.6 mln tonnes, said M.Umiryaev.
In 2012/13 MY the export potential of Kazakhstan totals 7 mln tonnes of grains. The markets of Central Asia, Afghanistan, Iran, Europe and North Africa became the major export destinations for Kazakh grains, the same countries as last MY, said the Vice-Minister.
We should note that in 2012 Kazakhstan produced grain volume of 12.9 mln tonnes.
