In the first half of January, Russia exported over 137 thsd tonnes of grains
In the period of January 1-16 of the current year, grain export volumes from Russia totaled 137.3 thsd tonnes, announced the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on January 23.
According to the announcement, wheat formed the major volume of exported grains in the reporting period - 69.7 thsd tonnes. Also, Russia exported 18.6 thsd tonnes of barley, 37.5 thsd tonnes of maize and 11.5 thsd tonnes of other grain crops.
According to the Ministry, since the beginning of 2012/13 MY the volume of grain exports from Russia already totaled 13.07 mln tonnes.
As a reminder, according to the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture, in 2012/13 MY Russia will supply 15.5 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets.
