In 2012 Russia decreased flour production – Rosstat

In 2012 the production volume of wheat and wheat-rye flour in Russia totaled 8.8 mln tonnes, a decrease of 2.4% compared with the same period in the previous year, announced the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat) on January 23.

At the same time, in the reporting period Russia significantly increased production of crude sunflower oil and its fractions - to 3.5 mln tonnes, up 42.7% compared with 2011.
