Ministry of Agriculture of Russia to decrease the forecast grain exports in 2012/13 MY

Ministry of Agriculture of Russia plans to decrease the forecast of exports of grain in 2012/13 MY. This was declared by Ilya Shestakov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on January, 29.

Meanwhile I.Shestakov did not specify the volume, but noted the country will be able to supply nearly 14 mln tonnes as opposed to 15.5 mln tonnes, the Ministry forecasted before.

Remind, in July-December, 2012 the Russia grain exports totaled nearly 13.5 mln tonnes. To date there is the supplies decrease due to the implementing of the most of the contracts for the commodities exports.

Besides the Deputy Minister added that the estimation of the carry-over stocks of grain totals nearly 9 mln tonnes.
