As of January 1, grain stocks in Kazakhstan totaled over 13.6 mln tonnes
As of January 1, 2012, grain stocks in Kazakhstan totaled 13.663 mln tonnes, announced the Agency for Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In particular, wheat formed 12.166 mln tonnes of the reporting volumes, including 10.378 mln tonnes of milling wheat.
Most of the wheat volumes (6.57 mln tonnes) were stocked at grain reception centers and elevators, 1.9 mln tonnes - in agricultural enterprises, and 0.93 mln tonnes – in households of farmers.
As of the beginning of January, barley stocks in Kazakhstan totaled 788 thsd tonnes, including 219 thsd tonnes of milling barley, rye - 11.2 thsd tonnes (including 9.3 thsd tonnes of milling rye).
Also, in the beginning of the month Kazakhstan stocked 76.5 thsd tonnes of maize, 176.9 thsd tonnes of rice, 112.6 thsd tonnes of oats, 32.2 thsd tonnes of buckwheat and 23.8 thsd tonnes of millet.
