Russia exported nearly 13.5 mln tonnes of grains – Federal Customs Service
According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, since the beginning of the current MY (July 1) and as of January 30, 2013, Russia already exported 13.48 mln tonnes of grains, against 19.382 mln tonnes delivered on foreign markets in the same period of the previous season, declared the press-service of the Government of Russia on February 5.
The announcement also noted that during January 1-30 of the current year Russia exported 403 thsd tonnes of grains.
During July -December of 2012 Russia imported 486 thsd tonnes of grains (in July-December of 2011 - 324 thsd tonnes), including wheat - 202 thsd tonnes (99.9% of Kazakh wheat) and malting barley - 138 thsd tonnes.
In the second half of the season it is expected to increase the supply of grains to 700 thsd - 1 mln tonnes, mainly from Kazakhstan, informed the Federal Customs Service.
