Kazakhstan: grain export potential in in 2012/13 MY is estimated at 7 mln tonnes – A.Mamytbekov
In the current year the export potential of grains in Kazakhstan is estimated at the level of 7 mln tonnes, declared Asylzhan Mamytbekov, Minister of Agriculture, on February 12.
According to him, it is slightly below the average level, but much lower compared with last marketing year, when the exports reached the record index of 12.8 mln tonnes.
At the same time, the Minister announced that as of January 1 the country already exported 3.3 mln tonnes of grains. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture said large volume of grain exports to Russia is not expected, because the country is self-sufficient in the sphere, but some supplies in the border regions are always done.
