On February 13, Russia sold over 64 thsd tonnes of intervention grains

On February 13, 2013, JSC United Grain Company provided regular exchange trading with intervention grains in the Russian Federation. The intervention fund put up 64.996 thsd tonnes of grains for exchange commodity trading, and sold 64.186 thsd tonnes from the general proposed volume at the general sum of 614 mln RUR. In particular, trading volume of transactions included 21.039 thsd tonnes of 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 238 mln RUR, 2.025 thsd tonnes of 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2009 at the sum of 19.5 mln RUR, 1.35 thsd tonnes of 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2009 at the sum of 13.7 mln RUR, 25.92 thsd tonnes of 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 260.4 mln RUR, 6.502 thsd tonnes of 5-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 64.4 mln RUR, 2.7 thsd tonnes of milling rye of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 18.1 mln RUR, and 4.65 thsd tonnes of feed barley of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 35.2 mln RUR.

The weighted average prices of the grains sold from the intervention fund were as follows:

- 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 – 8319.9 RUR/t;

- 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2009 – 8430.3 RUR/t,

- 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2011 – 9357.6 RUR/t,

- 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 – 8949.2 RUR/t;

- 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2009 – 8096.7 RUR/t;

- 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2011 – 9355.3 RUR/t;

- 5-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 – 9684.8 RUR/t;

- milling rye of the harvest-2008 – 6294.3 RUR/t;

- feed barley of the harvest-2008 – 7431.6 RUR/t.

As of the reporting date, there were already accredited 372 participants from Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Belgorod, Vladimir, Voronezh, Volgograd, Irkutsk, Kaluga, Kemerovo, Kirov, Kursk, Kurgan, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Moscow, Murmansk, Novgorod, Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Penza, Pskov, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Smolensk, Tambov, Tver, Tomsk, Tula, Tyumen, Ulyanovsk, Chelyabinsk and Yaroslavl oblasts; Altai, Zabaikalsky, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Perm, Stavropol and Khabarovsk Krais; the Republics of Bashkortostan, Karelia, Mordovia, Mari El, Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Udmurtia, Moscow and St. Petersburg cities of the Russian Federation to participate in the exchange trades with grains under the public commodity interventions.

56 agricultural organizations became the winners of the exchange trading, with which JSC United Grain Company will conclude sale and purchase contracts.

Since the beginning of the public commodity interventions in 2012, the public intervention fund already sold 1.813 mln tonnes of grains on the stock exchange at the general sum of 15.279 bln RUR.
