In 2012 Kazakhstan increased grain exports in 2.6 times
In January-December period of 2012 Kazakhstan exported 7.459 mln tonnes of wheat and meslin (mixed wheat and rye), an increase of 2.6 times compared with the same period in 2011, reported the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In monetary terms, the exports of wheat and meslin in the reporting period totaled 1.599 bln USD, which is also up 2.6 times compared with the previous year.
Besides, in 2012 Kazakhstan exported 2.245 mln tonnes of wheat and rye flour (up 18%) at the sum of 606.9 mln USD (up 10.1%).
