Russia: the public fund does not need the growth of weekly grain interventions – A.Dvorkovich
The Government of the Russian Federation does not intend to increase the volume of weekly grain interventions from the public fund, announced Arkady Dvorkovich, Vice-Prime Minister of Russia.
The Vice-Prime Minister also not noted that there are no significant risks for the future.
First of all, the Government still expects that the harvest of grains will be better than last year, and secondly, the authorities introduce support measures, which will allow passing the difficult period, he said.
As of to date the prices for grains in Russia continue growing within frames of the commodity interventions, taking place since last October. At the trade auction on February 13 there was fixed the new price record at 12`225 RUR/t for 3-grade wheat, according to the National Stock Exchange trading.
