Ukraine: Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasts re-planting 3-5% of winter crops areas
In the current year Ukraine will have to re-plant 3-5% of winter grain crops from the general planted areas of 8.1 mln ha for the harvest-2013, said Alexander Demidov, Director of the department of farming agriculture of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, on February 19.
He noted that last year Ukraine re-planted winter grain areas throughout 1.5 mln ha.
According A.Demidov, in the current year there is composed mostly favorable weather conditions to form the future harvest of winter grains. According to him, to date 92% of the crops areas are in good and satisfactory condition.
