On February 20, Russia sold over 62 thsd tonnes of intervention grains

On February 20, 2013, JSC United Grain Company provided regular exchange trading with intervention grains in the Russian Federation. The intervention fund put up 65.004 thsd tonnes of grains for exchange commodity trading, and sold 62.439 thsd tonnes from the general proposed volume at the general sum of 577.1 mln RUR. In particular, trading volume of transactions included 10.665 thsd tonnes of 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 93.2 mln RUR, 16.875 thsd tonnes of 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2009 at the sum of 163.6 mln RUR, 3.78 thsd tonnes of 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2009 at the sum of 38.9 mln RUR, 16.065 thsd tonnes of 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 159.8 mln RUR, 5.4 thsd tonnes of 5-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 51.4 mln RUR, 2.7 thsd tonnes of milling rye of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 17.1 mln RUR, 0.54 thsd tonnes of milling rye of the harvest-2009 at the sum of 3.5 mln RUR, and 6.414 thsd tonnes of feed barley of the harvest-2008 at the sum of 49.3 mln RUR.

56 agricultural organizations became the winners of the exchange trading, with which JSC United Grain Company will conclude sale and purchase contracts.

The weighted average prices of the grains sold from the intervention fund were as follows:

- 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 – 8338.6 RUR/t;

- 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2009 – 8524 RUR/t,

- 3-grade wheat of the harvest-2011 – 9357.6 RUR/t,

- 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 – 9100.5 RUR/t;

- 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2009 – 8403.3 RUR/t;

- 4-grade wheat of the harvest-2011 – 9321.6 RUR/t;

- 5-grade wheat of the harvest-2008 – 9691.1 RUR/t;

- milling rye of the harvest-2008 – 6359 RUR/t;

- milling rye of the harvest-2008 – 6525 RUR/t;

- feed barley of the harvest-2008 – 7545.4 RUR/t.

Since the beginning of the public commodity interventions in 2012, the public intervention fund already sold 1.941 mln tonnes of grains on the stock exchange at the general sum of 16.454 bln RUR.
