Ukraine: in January 2013, the volume of agricultural production increased by 5.6% - Ministry of Economic Development
In Ukraine, in January 2013 the volume of agricultural commodities production increased by 5.6%, against the growth of 0.5% in January 2012, informed the press-service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine on February 22.
According to the announcement, in January 2013 the gross agricultural output was formed solely from livestock production.
According to the Ministry, the high rates of growth of the agricultural sector were provided mainly due to business activity of agricultural enterprises, which production volumes grew by 10.6% (2.2% in January 2012). Households of the population increased the production by 1.2% for the period.
