Russia: grain prices of the harvest-2013 not to change – National union of grain producers

The prices for grains of the harvest in 2013 in Russia will not significantly differ compared with their current level, forecasted Pavel Skurikhin, President of the National union of grain producers, on February 27.

He noted that in 2012/13 MY grain resources in Russia will total nearly 90 mln tonnes - the grain harvest at the level of 70.7 mln tonnes, and carry-over stocks - 18.6 mln tonnes.

If in 2013 Russia produces 95 mln tonnes of grains, next agricultural year the supply and demand balances will be similar to the current one, because the carry-over stocks will be minimum, said P.Skurikhin.
