In February Ukraine exported 1.67 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
In February 2013 Ukraine supplied 1.67 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets, against nearly 1.5 mln tonnes in the previous month, declared the press-service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on March 1.
In particular, in February the country exported 184.1 thsd tonnes of wheat (including 180 thsd tonnes of milling wheat), 43 thsd tonnes of barley and 1.4 mln tonnes of maize.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, since the beginning of 2012/13 MY, and as of March 1, Ukraine already supplied 17.85 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets, including 6.18 mln tonnes of wheat (milling wheat - 5.29 mln tonnes), 2.02 mln tonnes of barley and 9.36 mln tonnes of maize.
