Kazakhstan: in 2012 the exports of agricultural products increased in 1.6 times – A.Mamytbekov
In 2012 the general export volume of agricultural products from Kazakhstan grew in 1.6 times compared with 2011, and totaled 3.128 bln USD, declared Asylzhan Mamytbekov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on March 5.
The Minister said that the export share of agricultural sector in the general export volume totaled at 5.4% of the annual plan totaled 3.4% for January-November of 2012. The index was also at the risk of failure, due to outpace export growth in such areas as petroleum exports, explained A.Mamytbekov.
At the same time, in 2012 the exports of grains broke the record and totaled 11 mln tonnes, including flour in grain equivalent. In 2011/12 MY Kazakhstan exported 12.6 mln tonnes of grains.
