Ukraine plans to restore irrigation throughout 1 mln ha in the southern regions – Prysyazhnyuk
In the following two years Ukraine plans to restore irrigation throughout 1 mln ha of agricultural areas in the southern regions of the country, declared Nikolai Prysyazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on March 6.
According to him, to date agrarians in Ukraine irrigated crops throughout 400 thsd ha only.
Development of the irrigation system is a very important topic, which will be supported by the Government. The task of the Government - during 3 years to revive the irrigation in the southern regions, particularly in Kherson, Nikolayev oblasts and in the Crimea, said the Minister.
