Russia: in January-February the ports reduced grain shipment volumes in 4 times
In January-February of 2013 the volume of transshipment of grain cargoes in the sea ports of Russia reduced in almost 4 times compared with the same period last year - to 0.7 mln tonnes, reported the Association of Sea Commercial Ports of Russia on March 12.
According to the announcement, during the first two months of 2013 the general cargo turnover of sea commercial ports of Russia totaled 88.5 mln tonnes, up 8% compared with January-February of 2012.
It was also reported that in January-February of 2013 the volume of export cargo shipment in the ports totaled 71.2 mln tonnes (up 9.4%), import cargo - 7.3 mln tonnes (up 28.7%), transit - 5.6 mln tonnes (down 25.4%), coastways - 4.4 mln tonnes (up 19.7%).
