Ukraine: in 2013 sunflower oil production to remain at 3.8 mln tonnes – expert

In 2013 in Ukraine the production of sunflower oil will remain at the level of 2012 - nearly 3.8 mln tonnes, declared Yuri Davydov, Head of the Board of "Creative Group", on March 12.

He noted that during recent four years the structure of sunflower oil consumption is stable. The domestic demand for the product totals 600-700 thsd tonnes per year, and the remaining volume is actively exported.

According to the expert, in 2013 Ukraine will process nearly 9.5 mln tonnes of sunflower seed. The exports of sunflower oil will total 3-3.3 mln tonnes.

According Y.Davydov, in 2013 the price for sunflower seed on the domestic market is not expected to rise.
