Ukraine: as of March 1, grain stocks totaled 13.2 mln tonnes – State Statistics Service

As of March 1, 2013, agricultural enterprises (except of small ones), and grain storage and processing enterprises in Ukraine stocked 13.2 mln tonnes of grains (including 4.2 mln tonnes of wheat, 1.3 mln tonnes of barley, 6.6 mln tonnes of maize, 0.3 mln tonnes of rye), a decrease of 37% compared with the same date in 2012, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on March 15.

Directly agrarian companies stored 6.3 mln tonnes of grains (down 36%), including 1.7 mln tonnes of wheat, 1 mln tonnes of barley, 2.9 mln tonnes of maize, 0.1 mln tonnes of rye.

Besides, sunflower seeds storing volumes totaled 2.8 mln tonnes (down 20% compared with March 1, 2012). At the same time, directly agrarian enterprises (except of the small ones) stored 1.2 mln tonnes of the oilseed (down 25%).
