Russia: Ministry of Agriculture not to plan to cancel the import duties on grains
The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia did not see the point to make any temporary cancellation of the import duties on grains, declared Ilya Shestakov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture.
According to him, the decision on zeroing of the duties will not produce any significant results. At the same time, the Deputy Minister said that if the decision to cancel the duties is accepted, it should be approved by the Eurasian Economic Commission, which will take additional time.
As a reminder, on February 20 Nikolai Fedorov, Minister of Agriculture, declared that the draft decision to cancel the import duties on grains until July 1, 2013, will be considered within the following two weeks.
