Russia to purchase nearly 6 mln tonnes of grains to the public intervention fund - Ministry of Agriculture
During holding the public purchasing interventions in 2013, Russia plans to purchase nearly 6 mln tonnes of grains, declared Nikolai Fedorov, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on August 22.
Taking into account the forecast of grain production at the level of 90 mln tonnes, the Ministry considered it appropriate to purchase 6 mln tonnes of new crop grains to the intervention fund, the Minister said.
He added that to date the Ministry already determined the ultimate level of minimum prices for grains of the harvest-2013, and made all necessary arrangements for making purchasing interventions.
